We have done MRI for almost two decades.   Dr. Chao started doing MRI in 1984 when he was chief resident at Downstate Medical Center in New York City.   Pediatric MRI is the hardest because children can be uncooperative and often have to be sedated.   However in the past year a new pulse sequence called BLADE has changed the need for sedation.  This is a revolutionary change.  Our facilities are the best equipped to monitor and take good care of our patients.     We can create virtual environments in the office to soothe our patients of any age. And we have video games with a dedicated TV with headphones for the kids to play with. We have a Playstation 3 for the children to stay occupied while their parents might be having an MRI study.

    We also have an Keurig coffee machine for our patients. If you are anxious there is a spa in the building upstairs. (Solutions SPA 302-998-4000) You can schedule a massage or aromatherapy before your study.  And we have a massage chair in our office.   Patients and their (friends or ) spouses love this!

   We specialize in the claustrophobic patient.  The 3T is so fast most people can tolerate the reduced time of the exam.  Our BEST OPEN MRI scanner is the world's most spacious scanner.  Finally!  REALLY OPEN MRI.  We also offer IV valium sedation free of charge if you still need it. In many cases the patients actually are able to be scanned without sedation.  We have never had a patient fail to have an MRI with sedation.
