Director of MRI Diagnostic Imaging Associates 1990-2004. I started with one scanner the GE 1.5T Signa 4.x. When I finished my position we had four scanners. Two GE Signa 1.5T (11.x), One Philips Intera 1.5T and one Fonar 0.6T.
Director of MRI Consultants since 2007. We have the most experience at 3T in Delaware. We have the only 3T scanner in Delaware. 3T really is twice as good! We also have the widest most open MRI scanner in Delaware - our advanced 18 channel 70 cm *30 inch wide Siemens Espree. SPACE IS THE FINAL FRONTIER FOR MRI!
Dr. Chao trained at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for his sub-specialty training. HUP was a GE research site and had access to all the new developments in MRI and also was the site of the first GE Signa 1.5T scanner. A few years ago HUP decided to switch to Siemens technology. Now at HUP and CHOP they use Siemens MR technology including the worlds best clinical scanner the 3T Trio. He still has contacts with many of the top MRI researchers in the world. Because of these contacts, the images from our scanner can sometimes have a second opinion by one of the worlds experts in MRI. The most important thing is he is committed to making the best MRI pictures we can for each patient we see. He completed two radiology fellowships, one in musculoskeletal and body MR imaging and also Neuroradiology at University of Pennsylvania. He is the only double fellowshipped MR physician in Delaware
